What’s your role?

Community Health Specialist

What made you decide to work for On Call Africa?

I am an advocate for health equity. So, when I read what On Call Africa is doing in rural areas to strengthen health systems, I thought to myself that I need to join them to improve rural health.

What were you doing before you joined On Call Africa?

I was working with Avencion Limited as the Community Digital Monitoring and Tracking Specialist and, as programmes support too.

Why should someone give up their time to volunteer for On Call Africa?

I think On Call Africa offers one of the most amazing volunteering opportunities, therefore, volunteering with On Call Africa will offer the volunteer to give back to the world and make the world a better place.

Tell me something about you that no one else knows…

My favourite instrument is the guitar!

Have you got any tips on Zambia for future volunteers?

Always prepare your summer clothes and swimming suits when you are coming to Zambia between August and January.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy reading, watching documentaries and listening to music.

Why should we support On Call Africa?

You should support On Call Africa so that more people and communities can be reached through improving access to quality healthcare for rural Zambia. You can do this by making donations and funding projects you will be interested in.
