Quality Improvement (QI) Leads/Champions role

Quality Improvement at On Call Africa supports measurable improvement in health care services and patient outcomes. We’d like to think that our QIPs help to achieve a better experience of care, address underlying causes of poor health, improve clinical effectiveness whilst improving efficiency and productivity, demonstrating improvement and above all else an organisation that listens and learns.

We currently have teams helping to:

– Review the resources we use to deliver medical care in communities, ensuring that health workers are following international best practice and delivering a high quality of care

– Supporting the review of our Community Health Worker programme, strategy and curriculum to improve the quality of services delivered, and the long term sustainability of our work

– Working with the Ministry of Health to support strategic planning, and the development of national standards, guidelines, and protocols. As part of this work our QIPs recently worked to develop national protocols for Community Health Workers in response to Covid-19, and continuation of services protocols for TB services

– Providing technical knowledge to change the way we use digital technology to collect, share and manage data to support decision making at different levels of the health system

You can find out more about the role by downloading a Quality Improvement (QI) Champion/Lead role description.

Resource Reviewer

If you are a Zambian and would like to be part of a group that helps to review the resources we create, we have a role that aims to critically review resources so that they are the best that they can be for Zambian health professionals and volunteers.

You can find out more about the role by downloading a Quality Improvement (QI) Reviewer role description.
